We will be matching $10 in SNAP benefits for the first 20 shoppers at our April market. Additionally, SNAP shoppers are eligible to partake in the statewide initiative, Healthy Incentives Program or HIP. A three year program, HIP matches SNAP purchases of local fruits and vegetables bought at participating farmers markets. Shoppers spend their SNAP dollars and have the amount of their purchase instantly added back to their EBT card. The monthly cap depends upon household size. Households of 1-2 can earn up to $40 per month, 3-5 members $60, and households with 6 or more members can earn up to $80.

The benefits of these two programs are huge…
it means that SNAP users have the opportunity to earn between
$50 and $90 worth of FREE fresh food at each of our monthly markets!
