August 5th Market Day

Because food and art bring people together… let’s get together!

Pittsfield ‘s Office of Cultural Development and Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires have partnered up to bring more public art to the Morningside neighborhood.

Join artist Kathy Garren from 11am to 1pm to help in the creation of the Planting Seeds for a Better Tomorrow mural. The mural will be located on the northeast side of Goodwill’s building and unveiled on August 26th as part of the Better Block Transformation Day.

Come Makey Makey and guitar selfie with Berkshire Museum. Use fruits and veggies (and an electric circuit) to make music!

  • The Berkshire United Way is coming on down with a pop-up reading party. Let’s read!
  • Come meet Dan Sadlowski, author of Finding Brooklyn – And The Next Great Superhero, buy his book and get YOUR superhero on!
  • Join artist Carrie Jean Converse for a free children’s book-making activity.

  • Come talk with Jacob’s Pillow Dance and Pittsfield Shakespeare in the Park about this season’s performances.
  • Enjoy live music from 11am to 1pm with Tom Gizzi.
