Details: Chris Wheeler’s great grandparents started farming this land in the 1930’s after immigrating from Norway. They raised pigs, cows and chickens. Chris and partner Kristen Tool have been working the past two years to re-claim old apple and blueberry orchards and bring the farm back to life. They currently raise chickens and guinea hens, keep bees, grow fruit and nut trees, veggies and herbs using natural gardening techniques. Their hope is to become a teaching farm where children can come have hands-on experiences with animals and gardening, and fellow farmer/ homesteaders can share and learn skills.
