Farm to Glass Throwdown
Join us for our 2nd annual Farm to Glass Throwdown on September 25th at Hotel on North. Come out and support local farmers, growers, makers and shakers, all to benefit the Downtown Pittsfield Farmers Market!
How does the Throwdown work?
Six bartenders from across Berkshire County are chosen to compete in the Throwdown. They are given a variety of Berkshire Mountain Distillers spirits to choose from as well as five ingredients from the farmers market (they must choose two to include in their cocktail). They have a couple of weeks to experiment and perfect their cocktail…
On the day of the Throwdown, guests arrive and are greeted by each of our six Competitors. They will sample each of their cocktails and then use their voting cards to choose their favorite. The overall favorite will be deemed the “People’s Choice.”
After our guests have sampled their cocktails- the show begins… each competitor takes to the stage and creates their cocktail LIVE for the judges to sample. Judges narrow down the competitors to just three, who move on to Round Two. The three competitors are then given a “Mystery Market Ingredient” and go head to head crafting a cocktail in under two minutes. Judges sample the Mystery Market Cocktails and announce the Throwdown Champ!
DJ BFG takes over and gets the dance party going!
