AThirdplace

Changes in technology, work and community have resulted in an epidemic of isolation and depression- especially amongst young adults and seniors.

We see the Pittsfield Farmers Market as an important “third place” in our community: a space outside of the home and workplace where neighbors can meet each other and community life can be cultivated.

Community
compost

We've partnered with Tommy’s Compost to bring community composting to our market.

Bring your food scraps to the market and add to our compost bin. Together we can minimize waste and nurture a more sustainable future!

chefdemos

Every second Saturday of the month our market turns into a culinary classroom as we host healthy cooking demonstrations with Berkshire area chefs.

Shoppers learn what is in season, tips and tricks for food preparation and beef up their kitchen skills and confidence!

Community
booths

The Pittsfield Farmers Market is a thriving community hub. Each year during our outdoor season we set aside space for community organizations to participate at the Market free of charge.

If your local community-based organization is interested in participating at a market this season, please review our guidelines and apply below.
